SPECTATE

Rally is an amazing motorsport and nothing quite compares to the sights and sounds of the cars racing through the forest. From the approaching roar, too the dancing and sliding around the corners, to watching the lights approach on a night stage… there is nothing like it. Be aware… rally spectating can be challenging, and involves being out in nature for an extended time. It is crucial that you come prepared and that you expect less than ideal conditions.
Here is a peek at the spectating opportunities this year. More detailed information will be released closer to the event.
Parc Expose Happy Valley Day Lodge – map
This is a car display on Friday evening where you will have the chance to check out the cars and meet the competitors. It is always a fun event and a great way to get to know the teams.
Black Forest Spectator Area – map
The Black Forest stage is the first and third competitive section of the event Saturday morning. The designated spectator area is about 9 km into the 16 km stage and features a downhill curve into a sharp left for the teams. The spectator area is about 3.5 km into the 201 FSR, east from Big White Road. Parking is along the 201 FSR.
(Parking etiquette – turn around when you park so you can drive straight out at the end without blocking others while you turn around.)
Gem Lake Spectator – map
The Gem Lake Spectator area is at the start of the 11km Gem Lake Down stage and at the end of the 28 km Falcon stage on Saturday afternoon and evening. This location features both daytime and nighttime spectating opportunities. The designated spectator area is about 2 km south into the Big White FSR from Big White Road and will likely involve walking a few hundred meters into the spectator area from the roadside parking.
